Billi Filter Cartridges
The Bill Sahara is fitted with single dual action filter incorporating sediment and chemical removal elements. All Billi Sahara filters are manufactured using bacteria and biofilm resistant materials for improved water quality. Premium filters provide better tasting water due to the high quality, carbon chemical removal filter. Sub micron rated, these filters have excellent chemical absorption, removing or reducing chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemicals, tastes and odours. Use only genuine filters as designed for this system. All drinking water filtration systems should be flushed after a period of non-use. If your Billi Sahara has not been used for a period of 48 hours or more, flush for one minute.
Filter Change Due Monitor
The Sahara filter change due monitor operates by counting the number of cups dispensed and the number of days elapsed until a pre-set level is reached. Once reached, the dispenser icons will briefly change to orange once every five seconds. The Sahara will continue to operate while the filter indicator is flashing. Water filters installed in areas with higher levels of sediment will experience a reduced service life. It may be necessary to change filters before the change filter indicator flashes. If particularly dirty water is noticed coming through the water supply, e.g. from other tap ware, immediately place your Billi Sahara into Holiday Mode by pressing the Pressure Relief button. This will help prevent premature blocking of the filter cartridges.
Replacement of Billi Filter Cartridge
Periodic replacement of your Bill Sahara Filter Cartridge is necessary to maintain the cleanliness of your drinking water. Billi recommends a filter replacement every 6 months or sooner if necessary. Depending on mains water supply quality. A replacement filter change service is available. If you wish to install the replacement filter cartridges yourself, your Billi representative will provide genuine Billi replacement filter cartridge sets.

Energy efficiency
The Sahara uses the Billi trademarked Thermostore tank technology and insulation materials which boasts an energy efficiency level 50 times that of a traditional hot water tank. In addition all Sahara systems include a 7 day, 24 hour time switch to conserve power, or alternatively can be put into Standby mode which conserves energy by powering down after a prescribed period of non use.
Time efficiency
With its innovative technology the Billi Sahara dispenses more cups of boiling water instantly than any tap of its kind on the market. This allows for peak periods of high demand in the teapoint or canteen environment. Billi regards instant dispense as the most important measure of a boiling tap capacity.
Ventilation
The Billi Sahara does not require cupboard ventilation or ventilation grilles. It has no cooling fan, which gives the benefit of space saving and cost reduction.
Safety
All our boiling taps come with an integrated safety switch. The red lock icon demonstrates when the safety switch is activated, simply press the switch to release the lock and allow full use of boiling water. The system will revert to safety mode after 8 seconds of non use.
Splash free delivery
Electronic control of boiling water delivery ensures user safety. The flow is momentarily slowed as the water exits the dispenser, eliminating splashing as the water enters the cup.
